Following designer’s Boris Bidjan Saberi’s fall 2013 collection during Men’s Fashion week, we had the opportunity to celebrate the book launch of Saberi’s first monograph at David Lynch’s club Silencio with djs AZARI & III along citrus twist cocktails from the club’s innovative mixologists.
The 208 paged Boris Bidjan Saberi book, published by Atlante Libri, explores Saberi’s distinct aesthetics in his past eleven collections as one of the leading avant-garde designers in menswear at the moment. The half German, half Persian menswear designer is based in Spain, with shows in Paris, has a cult following for his utilitarian globetrotter creations fused with street culture taking inspiration from the skater scene. While Saberi is known for his monochromatic color palette, he is in eclectic in his use of deconstruction from classical shapes forming edgy cuts.
The book retraces his collections starting with Spring/Summer 2006 his style is unveiled through unseen shots, artistic events and detailed close-ups along with precious texts by Markus Ebner, Paolo Ferrarini, Eugene Rabkin, Elisabeta Tudor and Brigitte Winkler.
